Chief of Karnali province, Govinda Prasad Kalauni and the Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Dormani Poudel have extended best wishes to all Nepalis and especially to the Muslim community on the occasion of the Eid-al-Joha or Bakar Eid festival. The festival also marks the beginning of the Hijari Calendar 1442.
They have wished for the good health, happiness, long life and continued progress of all Nepalis and the Muslim brothers and sisters within the country and outside.
In separate messages of best wishes today, they have said all the festivals celebrated by the different communities helped promote good will, brotherhood and national unity in a multi-ethnic, multi-linguistic and multi-cultural country like ours.
The two province high officials have also urged the people to celebrate the festival observing health safety protocols in view of the risk of COVID-19 at present.
