Social Development Minister of the Sudurpaschim Province government, Govinda Raj Bohara, today inspected the Gauriphanta transit point in Kanchanpur district which borders with Kailali district. On the occasion, he monitored the situation at the Gauriphanta transit point on the Nepal-India border. The Social Development Minister monitored the health desk and the holding centre at the transit point for their systematic and strict operation in view of the increase in the COVID-19 infection cases since some days.
He directed the employees of the health desk and the holding centre to further improve the condition and make them better managed as well as to carry out the health check of persons entering through the transit more thorough. Chief District Officer Kiran Thapa, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City mayor Gopal Hamal, the District Police Office Chief, the Social Development Ministry’s public health division chief, among the officials had accompanied the minister during the monitoring visit.
