Minister Pandit pledges to address complaints regarding adjustment

Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Lalbabu Pandit has said concerns of employees incorporated in the adjustment process would be addressed soon. Taking part in a face-to-face programme organised by the Reporters’ Club Nepal here today, he assured of addressing the employees’ complaints through a committee formed for the same purpose.

The Complaints Management Committee was constituted with the realization that complaints would come in regard with the adjustment process. As he said, most grudges relating to the administrative service group had been addressed and grievances of remaining groups are being studied. “Complaints came in compatible with the Employees Adjustment Act will be addressed.”

He pledged re-adjustment in cases of those employees adjusted far from the previous office, those couple adjusted in different places, and of physically disabled with chronic diseases.
It may be noted that the government on March 28 had carried out the adjustment of 10,031 employees at the federal, state and local levels. Some 20,000 have applied for review of their adjustment, expressing dissatisfaction over their adjustment.

“Among the three-tier government, the local levels have the maximum flow of service recipients and the details of posts lying vacant there have been demanded and the government will write to Public Service Commission for vacancy announcements once the details are received,” the minister said. He promised no problem in service delivery due to a shortage of human resources from the next fiscal year.
