Discipline must in party: NC President Deuba

Kathmandu- Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said discipline was essential in the party to restore its strength and image.At a programme organized to administer the oath of office to the newly appointed members of Central Policy, Research and Training Academy under the party on Thursday, President Deuba urged the party leaders and cadres to fully support the party candidates to ensure his/her victory in the election.

“Unless a leader supports another leader of the party, the NC won’t emerge victorious,” he underscored, adding that the Academy had tremendous role to strengthen party. President Deuba argued that NC was an inclusive party.

Vice-President of the party and Training coordinator, Bimalendra Nidhi, asserted that party’s statute was better than other parties’. It needs to be taken to the people. The Training Academy was focused on making party policy effective, doing research and sensitizing leaders, cadres and the general public with trainings and orientations on democratic values. He hoped that the Academy members would have active support to the party’s ‘Himal, Pahad, Tarai/Madhes campaign’ which is beginning from May 8.

Although the working committee of the Training Academy is composed of 51 members, 45 members took the oath on Thursday. Academy’s Executive Director Purushottam Dahal informed that the Academy would play an effective role to better party performance in the coming elections.
