Hetauda- Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Shivamaya Tumbahamphe has stressed the need for all three tiers of governments to put coordinated efforts for the protection and preservation of Makawanpurgadhi.
Talking to RSS after visiting the historical Makanpurgadhi on Wednesday, she said, “Makawanpurgadhi is an artistic epitome of medieval Nepal. This is our history and history is our asset. So, all should join hands to preserve the heritage”.
Sanukumar Shrestha, Speaker of State-3, who was accompanying the Deputy Speaker, said Nepal can draw higher scores of tourists from neighbouring India and China if such historical sites are preserved well. The State-3 government has already developed a plan for the preservation and development of the place.
