Congress to discipline awakening campaign

Kathmandu- The Nepali Congress has directed all its leaders and cadres to not carry out any act, including making statements against the interest of the party. This is being done to discipline the ‘National Awakening Campaign’ that the party is beginning from coming May 8.

A decision to this end was taken by the Central Disciplinary Committee meeting of the party today, according to NC office secretary Prem KC. The ‘Himal Pahad, Tarai-Madhes National Awakening Campaign begins in all the 77 districts simultaneously.

Meanwhile, the disciplinary committee has also decided to urge the Nepal Democratic Lawyers Association to monitor and report any incidents of anti-party activities and statements in course of the campaign.
