OSNEPALNEWS, Kathmandu, 15th April: This year, a lot of women from different walks of life were able to be in news and influence a lot of people. A 17-year-old Nepali girl Bandana Nepal danced for 126 consecutive hours to set the Guinness World Records on “Longest Dancing Marathon by an Individual”. In a very rare scenario where women football is not given its due media attention, Sabitra BHandari remained in the news this year. Since making her debut with Nepali women’s football team in 2014, Bhandari has played 27 matches and scored 26 goals.
Shrinkhala Khatiwada represented Nepal in Miss World 2018 and became second Nepali after Ishani Shrestha to win Beauty with a Purpose Award, and also secured a place in Top 12 of Miss World 2018. Karishma Manandhar proved that age doesn’t matter when it comes to receiving education. She managed to inspire a lot of people to continue their study.
