Citizenship issue to be resolved forever: Minister Bnaskota

Lahan- Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Banskota has said with the endorsement of the citizenship bill tabled in the parliament the citizenship issue would be resolved forever. Inaugurating the Baukidevi Fair at Laxmi Patari rural municiplity-6 here Friday, Minister Banskota argued that Nepal was liberal in case of providing citizenship certificate in South Asia.

He said that the central government was ready to provide support to the local government’s action-plan to make agriculture sector self-reliant. Stating that through the development of tourism and agriculture sectors, the government could attain the goal of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’, the Minister shared that studies were going on to establish industrial village in Terai.

Minister Banskota informed that the works relating to Postal Highway, Mid Hill Highway, and East-West Railway among other physical infrastructures were being expedited and they would be completed during the tenure of this government, On the occasion, member of House of Representative Leelanatha Shrestha, Sureshchandra Das Yadav, Member of State Assembly Ashok Kumar Yadav among others spoke in the inaugural event chaired by Dev Narayan Shah. The Festival would go through April 18.
