This Is How Bishnu Poudel Purchased Baluwatar Land

OSNEPALNEWS, Kathmandu, 13th April: The government has ordered probe into alleged transfer of ownership of a piece of land, situated inside the prime minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, to various individuals, including the son of the ruling Nepal Communist Party General Secretary Bishnu Poudel. Speaking to the media, government spokesperson and Communication Minister Gokul Prasad Banskota said that CPN General Secretary has been duped in procurement of land at Baluwatar.

The government had recently found that 113.3 ropanis of land in Baluwatar area it had acquired by compensating its owners, had been illegally occupied by private citizens. It was also found that the land was divided into parcels and sold to different people.
