SC denies Oli’s release

Kathmandu-The Supreme Court has denied the release on bail of leader Hemanta Prakash Oli who belongs to the Netra Bikram Chand Biplab-led party.A division bench of Justices Anil Kumar Sinha and Tanka Bahadur Moktan rejected the petition to release him on bail. The Justices argued that investigation was underway to file case at district court, so he could not be freed.

Police had arrested Hemanta Prakash Oli from Kavre in accusation of his involvement in the explosion at NCell Tower in Lalitpur. Four days back, Bipana Oli, on behalf of leader Oli, had filed an application at SC, demanding habeas corpus order. The SC, with the above decision, however, scrapped the application.
