FNJ at forefront of salary enforcement

The Federation of Nepali Journalists has said that its attention has been drawn to the issue of the implementation of minimum salary structure for working journalists and employees working for various media houses. The FNJ is always at the forefront to fully enforce the salary structure, said the FNJ.

“We were and are in disagreement with the salary structure put into action six months ago, which has partly addressed the structure recommended by the Minimum Wage Fixation Committee of the FNJ. The FNJ welcomes the government’s decision to address some of its demands. As part of the pressure campaign, almost all media houses across the country have been drawn to the issue of the implementation of the minimum salary structure by sending them letters.

Efforts have also been underway to draw the attention of the government to it,” said a statement issued on Monday by the FNJ secretary Ram Prasad Dahal.
