OSNEPALNEWS, Kathmandu, 13th March: Lal Bahadur Gurung still has an incredible memory of him fighting alongside his fellows during the world war. He was one among 250,000 Nepali men who fought alongside the British. During World War II, there was an internal treaty between Nepal and Britain about the mobilization of Nepalese soldiers. In addition to RNA troops, Nepalese fought in the British Gurkha units and were engaged in combat all over the world.
Known as some of the most skilled and fiercest warriors in the world, the Gurkhas have impressed (and terrified) everyone around them.
