Upper House passes Employees’ Adjustment Bill

Kathmandu, Feb 20: The National Assembly, the Upper House in the Federal Parliament, today unanimously endorsed the Employees’ Adjustment Bill-2075 BS’. The NA session passed the document received from the House of Representatives along with its feedback. Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Lalbabu Pandit presented the proposal to this regard.

The session send the bill to amend some Nepal’s laws was also accepted by the session unanimously. Likewise, the bill to amend some Nepal’s acts to make them in line with the Nepal’s constitution to the Legislation Management Committee was sent to the Legislation Management Committee for clause-wise deliberations.

Minister Pandit presented both proposals on behalf of the Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. Likewise, NA Secretary Rajendra Phuyanl tabled the ‘Public Auditing Bill, 2075’, and ‘Pesticide Management Bill-2075 BS’ in the meeting. Committee president Parashuram Meghi Gurung committee reports on ‘Province Public Service Commission (bases and criteria fixation) Bill, 2075 BS’, ‘Pension Fund Bill- 2075 BS’, and ‘Passport Bill, 2075 BS’ before the meeting. The Upper House shall meet again at 2:30 pm on February 24. (RSS)
